WATER GUARDIANS IN SENEGAL: BLOG ENTRY 8

After the ceremony, everyone continued to celebrate our arrival with music and dance, good food and laughs. The kids almost tore my dress off in an effort to grab a lollipop from the jar I was holding up high! They then all continued to dance with each other and dragging Alain, Tom and myself into each dance circle. I couldn’t figure out whether they were laughing at my dancing or just me in general. A tall blonde, uncoordinated beach girl. I fell in love with the way they all danced. You could see the music flowing through their entire bodies. Such a simple pleasure. All you need is a beat.
